This morning before I went to school I checked the incubator and saw a new hatchling- almost made me late to class. It looks to be either a Giant Dreamsicle or Giant Nova. Came from Male Raptor [Golden Gate Geckos] and a Female Giant Snow Enigma het Tremper 50% het Eclipse [Leopard Geckos Unlimited]. First egg hatched proved the mother to be het Raptor. Also, both the Giant Dreamsicle and the Giant Novas are 1/32 shots, same as the possibility of hatching a Normal from these parents (lucky me). Dimension-wise it looks elongated with a very long tail, making me think it's a giant (last pic shows this best). It's a TSM, the only one of the 6 eggs the female has laid so far that I tossed in the Male Incubator. I've got my fingers crossed.

Dreamsicle (Gecko Genetics) Male Arrived Today! Woohoo! Thanks Jason.

June 2, 2009

After a slow start to the season, things are finally picking up again. There are a bunch of eggs in the incubator and many of the females are gravid- although some have already cooled off. My Dreamsicle Project should start laying anytime now, as those females are starting to ovulate and become gravid. Also, two eggs hatched out today from my Diablo Blanco Project and Dmitri proved out to be be het Eclipse, so that's great. Here are a couple pics of these new babies:

These are them in their new tubs, like all the other hatchlings and juvies.

Here is the Raptor (left)- he has two solid eyes and a half jungle aberrant pattern back. He's photogenic, as soon as I put him in he was walking around. This lil Tremper is more shy. He just kind of stayed in the corner and hid.

New Photo backgrounds- I was just bored the other day and was practicing 'Architecture Handwriting' (so disregard what the writing actually says) but decided to take a photo shoot of the geckos against this paper. I like how it's different and unconventional, but I'm just wondering if it takes too much away from the gecko. It seems like it might for the top one, but for the SHTCTB it seems to make it pop.

Don't let leopard geckos and other herps and animals be banned from being bred and sold. All non-native animals will become illegal to breed and sell if this passes.
